Wuhu  Institute  of  Technology (WHIT)  has been selected by National Construction Plan of High-Level Vocational Schools and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics, which is the only vocational college selected in Anhui Province. It is a national high-quality school, the first batch of 28 National Demonstrative Higher Vocational Colleges in Anhui Province, and an excellent college in national talent training evaluation.

At present, WHIT has 75 majors, more than 26,000 full-time  students  and 1,000 teachers including professors, teaching teams and talents, and has won nearly 3000 awards at or above the provincial level.

WHIT attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, promoting the internationalization of school personnel training. Our school works closely with foreign universities and colleges from the US, Britain, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, etc. Currently, WIT has established partnership with   14 colleges  and  international  organizations  from  11  countries  and  carried forward cooperative relationship with countries and universities from Belt and Road Initiative. In May 2018, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial Department of Education,   WIT officially obtained the qualification of recruiting international students. At present, more than 60 students from Cambodia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Morocco have been recruited. The school is committed to exploring a new mode of joint education programs with foreign universities.
